We are finally touched down on November 9th Australian! Now the long distances do not frighten us and the 8-hour flight has passed in a flash. Thanks to the advice we were given earlier by Michael, who lives near neighbor, we immediately took the Sky Bus (probably the cheapest way to get to the city) and in half an hour we were in downtown Melbourne. Less than an hour and we were in the hostel (we thank and salute Ale Castelfidardo for the good advice) and now
hospitality of this country not long in coming. The day was an escalation of surprises, in addition to receiving a lot of useful information we know a lot of people. As you can imagine hostels are a meeting point for people from all over the world and thus from the first night with new friends the festivities lasted until the morning! Among the many we can not forget Johnny (the one standing in the first picture), an Australian of 45 years as a time gubbana and that unfortunately was thrown from the hostel, why there is still clear! The next day touring Melbourne are Simon, a rasta Italian who was our guide for a few hours in the same night at the Pub of the hostel we also know Elina and Jenny, two Finnish girls and a Dutchman Arjan (Jenny Arian and the second photo). These last four are still people
with which we spend most of the time because they are all interesting people with the right appetite for more serious things (which are however not without some holidays). Not being tourists, there are several practices to attend to the program and the first few days were to be dedicated to that. Fortunately, the socio supplementary Australian is definitely brisk and simplified to the point that in the space of a morning we had already
bank account, new phone number, health insurance and since confirmed. This has resulted in the following days to a respectable funkazzismo! You can well imagine, the thrill of being at their destination and finally to have solved all the happiness in such a short time they have done nothing but leave a lot of space to meet new people and pass the evening with a lot of fun. Melbourne is nothing short of a beautiful city, featuring a
wonderful lifestyle and a very human scale. With its 3.5 million inhabitants therefore a city of considerable proportions, not has so dispersed and thanks to the tram
everything is easily accessible from the suburbs to downtown, to the beautiful area of \u200b\u200bSt. Kilda beach (in the next 3 photos), the nearest seaside town of Melbourne. The latter has no shortage of charm, with its many bars and palm trees scattered everywhere
to beautify the streets. Of course it must be said that the city look better and we now we have to walk to be cut. In several hours
costs between the well-structured and broad streets of Melbourne by the beautiful buildings we have seen in nineteenth-century style to modern skyscrapers of the South Bank (in the two photos below), the area bordered Yarra River and is without a doubt one of the most attractive, especially at night. Starting from Federation Square and its modern museums (Melbourne has plenty of space to art) a long row of bars and restaurants are situated on the banks of the river and goes to end with the huge Crown Casino, which also includes several nightclubs and boutiques as well as quite a multiplex. Along this pleasant walk during the day the banks of the Yarra
are characterized by their modern fountains and water games to music, while at night the windows of the rooms are illuminated by the flames that emerge from the rock pillars. Back to us, our main goal is to visit the country and so we temporarily set aside his life as a tourist and it was time for the legendary: Hi, I'm looking for a job! In all honesty it was not even that hard! In just two days we find ourselves working in two popular local
as a barman / waiter for now and that is proving to be a work of a commitment to and respect as well as useful for our English. In addition there is to say that with several hours of work in less than we earn more money than we did in Italy. Between one thing and another the first week is gone and listened to the advice of the good old Johnny (do you remember) we moved to the International Backpakers 450 Elizabeth st. the brand new (just a few months) to 196 Nomads Industry of A'Beckett st. (pictured with Michele Pasutto), ie a few hundred meters from the previous year. This addition to
be very clean on the ground floor offers a nice pub and a back garden with a lot of barbecue for common use, in addition there is a 24-hour video room and a rooftop terrace with views of the city. We are the long-awaited Nov. 17 and the birthday of Michael, the feast began as early as the night before with several Jugs of beer at the pub but it was just the beginning. The party started with a barbecue under the close watch Alessandro (see picture), a glass of wine in hand and continued to the sound of cheers, alive, kippis and songs. Around midnight, the Night is no longer young and "tired" Michael, guitar in hand half hostel moved on the terrace in the roof and waited
dawn to take pictures. ... ... Is not true we did casino for a few hours and then big problems with the elevator! Bombeaicanguri guys! Just enough time to recover and here comes the birthday of Ali, which fortunately is celebrating along with Arjan (otherwise the party became too many) who are celebrating the 23 years that a day earlier. This time dinner was done Mexican restaurant, Tequila and ju (last picture)! Then we moved into a long bar very nice and hard in order to Crown Casino ... the evening ended with a classic touch our Cordovadese: thrown out for blocking the escalator (this beautiful, but Tio)!
Oh well they were not so angry!
The days are passing quickly now and the weekend is mixed with the rest of the week because all the girls who attend are Backpakers, there are the fast pace of Italian companies, but only shifts that allow even a fun evening from Monday to Friday. We are pleased to share with you the life of Johnny telling you right now have also driven from here, this time we know why.
We apologize for the days of waiting but it 's a job that takes a long time. We take this opportunity to send a special greeting to the company of ... never Cordovado wheel '!
an area full of shopping centers, offices and ending with the beautiful scenery of the Petronas Towers. With a rich and well-maintained vegetation growing in close contact with skyscrapers and wide streets, the city takes a touch that differentiates it clearly from ns. capital. Thanks to Lonely Planet we quickly found a hostel not too bad, too bad that we have given the room most unlucky of the building. The air conditioning is always on the max and not adjustable to the point that we had to arrange, see picture (we know it is useless but we are proud of)!
